Nice arena!
I have been there recently and many lockers are broken. As there are not enough lockers for everybody, had to leave my stuff broken locker

This is a professional grade ice rink, very well maintained. It was very busy when we visited, but again it was the holidays, so I guess that is expected. The rink gets shaved/dressed between each session so that helps a lot. Skates that are available for hire aren't that great, so bring your own if you have some. For such a busy venue this is to be expected and skates are maintained well for the usage they get.
Staff are very well trained, people staffing the counters are very efficient and professional.
There is ample free parking available. It's advisable to pre book skating sessions on the website, as most people seem to have done.

Good value way to spend time with your friends and family. Check for when there are quiet times on Google maps as the experienced ice skaters can be a bit oblivious to those who are still learning. The process of exchanging shoes/skates is painfully slow. I wish there was a faster way! Decent facilities for those not skating also.

Nice, well kept rink but the massive queues to pick up skates at the start of the public sessions mean you lose a big chunk of skating time. Similarly, it took a good 20 minutes of queuing at the end of the session to return the skates.

A modern facility, it's clean, brightly lit, the sound system is surprisingly good. Staff were friendly.

I liked the option to pre-book for public skating, though I do wish the sessions were a bit longer. Good facilities, and nice staff.

Well run ice rink, a valuable and much needed addition to the facilities of Cambridge. Easy and free parking. Excellent classes and activities on offer.

At last, after decades of wilderness, Cambridge has its own Ice Rink (thanks to years of efforts of Bill Harris and others). It has everything a UK ice rink needs - the ice, the equipment rental, the snacks bar, and the small but sufficient area of spectator seating.
It has paid 'free skating' at certain times (read their website), and paid 'learn to' sessions, it has ice hockey teams (from children to University, to rec league) - but the club is only building up, and not in any if the EIHA leagues (as are Peterborough, Chelmsford, or MK). It will take time, but it's already exciting to come watch rec/Uni teams matches (free entry). Figure skating also seems growing fast.
