Always have a great time here. Wish they had a skate shop, as if they did, I think I would buy a pair of my own.

Saturday family day out - the ice itself was the best I have skated on in a long time but way too many people on the rink. Could hardly skate properly without fear of knocking over small children. We got told that other customers had complained because some of us were skating “too fast” even though there were other people who were skating faster, and weaving in and out between people like the flash. But they were wearing black and smaller than us so they were not noticed. Eventually was asked to leave the rink for basically knowing how to skate. I would suggest they reassess their max capacity at a time as it was very unsafe and got caught in human traffic constantly. I can’t even believe they said they weren’t at their legal capacity yet. Clearly money is more important than safety and customer satisfaction.

It's such a shame to see this facility isn't better managed and taken care of: - there aren't enough lockers, most are broken - sessions are only an hour, so there's always a big queue to arrive or leave - the skate hire and reception are under-staffed, with hard-working attendants rushed off their feet, but still a very long wait - toilets are poorly maintained - cafe was closed when we went, despite the venue being packed and few other cafes nearby, surely a missed opportunity? - couldn't get any clear information about skating lessons Better is meant to be a CIC, the rink must have a pretty decent turnover, so why aren't they investing more in it? We'll still be coming back, because we love to skate! There isn't another rink nearby.

Booked a Xmas skating event for December on Monday I was emailed that ny booking had been cancelled by venue and that my refund would go into my account.wed still no refund the venue had decided to keep my refund in my account membership and only put £60 not 69 into there I've contacted refund department on Wed and said I need that money back into my bank where it came from so I rebook elsewhere still no refund ands now Friday.cant believe they kept my money. I won't be booking here ever again and I've made a formal complaint they have till money then I'll get my bank to refund it.

Ice rink is lovely but hire skates are cripplingly painful, with hardly any padding inside. Have skated all my life but couldn’t manage more than 30 mins in the boots they hired to me. Spoilt our (not cheap) session tbh. Be warned it is £10 each per session + £3 each skate hire and £6 if you need a balance support for child.

Cambridge Ice Arena generously donated a voucher for 2 adult tickets and 3 children's tickets for our local school's summer fete, showcasing their fantastic support for the community. Their contribution added an exciting opportunity for families to enjoy ice skating together, and we are truly grateful for their generosity. The arena offers a fun and engaging experience for all ages, making it a perfect outing for the whole family. Highly recommend Cambridge Ice Arena for their commitment to local initiatives and their wonderful recreational activities!

Many thanks to the organisers of the Free Cambridge ice skating competition, we had a great experience at the ice rink, the facilities are good, the changing rooms are comfortable and spacious, the spectators area is warm and easy to access, and the balcony area for Off ice warm up adds good points to the venue. We would definitely recommend the Cambridge to everyone and will be back!

Great experience. We paid £15 each (£12 + £3 skate hire). Rink is large so even when busy it felt fine. There's music playing whilst skate. Lockers free to use, and also some shelving. Plenty of toilets too.

Sessions on the ice go on for an hour, so if your an infrequent skater, it will feel like almost too much time! Since it's an indoor ice-rink, it gets very chilly so wrap up warm, even if it's summer. The ice is very spacious. I would recommend not going into the last session as the ice is very scratched up by then. The booking doesn't include skate rentals (+£2.50) you can use card. Also bring an extra £1 for lockers. Other than the lockers, you can be cashless. Update: skate rentals now £3. Recommend you pre-book on the app if you're going more than once. If not just book online. Lockers are now free.

Great facility, and much needed by Cambridge. The rink has really nice ice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of space around the ice, and good seating for those watching. The cafe serves hot food, and provides a warm environment for parents etc to watch. Food prices aren't the cheapest, but seem fairly reasonable.
